Master of Public Health (MPH)

The purpose of implementing the MPH programme at our discipline is to train Public Health Specialist to cater to the needs of the country and produce future academic staff to serve the Faculty.​ The main aim of MPH is to produce a competent and qualified public health specialist who can work effectively and efficiently in any health and health-related environment and to produce graduates who will be able to utilize the knowledge gained into the social, cultural, ethical, environment and economics issues for planning and implementing tasks.​

MPH is a one year course work program and candidates are expected to be responsible for their own learning. A component of research activity is included in the research methodology module. This course will be conducted in a mix mode method through lectures, tutorials, seminars, research project/dissertation, assignments and examination.​

Entry requirements
​
1. Possess a recognized medical degree (MBBS or MD or equivalent degree) from a recognized university and registered with Malaysian Medical Council
2. Obtained full registration with MMC (for Malaysian only)
3. At least 2 years working experience in health or health related area.
4. Candidates must be fluent in English both oral and written.
